About The Position

Las Vegas Urology is currently seeking a patient-focused, detail-oriented, bilingual Front Office / Surgery Scheduler to join our team. Our staff has proudly served patients throughout the Las Vegas Valley for decades, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Position Summary This role supports both front office operations and surgical scheduling, serving as a key point of contact for patients, physicians, and external facilities. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment with competing priorities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual
  • 1-3 years medical office experience / surgery scheduling experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients professionally; check patients in and out
  • Answer phones promptly and professionally
  • Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances; ensure daily balancing
  • Update patient paperwork and demographic information
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals while patients are in the office
  • Confirm appointments and work bumped/no-show lists
  • Process lab and diagnostic orders and provide lab slips as needed
  • Maintain accurate EHR documentation and complete assigned tasks
  • Open and/or close the office as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
  • Schedule surgeries after physician visits
  • Obtain surgical authorizations
  • Coordinate surgery logistics with hospitals, surgery centers, and anesthesiology
  • Confirm surgery details with patients, including date, time, and location
  • Ensure patients complete registration and pre-operative testing
  • Collect required pre-procedure payments
  • Complete FMLA paperwork within required timeframes
  • Enter hospital consult and face-sheet information into the EHR for billing
  • Maintain task accuracy and follow-through in a high-volume environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • Professional telephone presence and clear verbal communication
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and providers
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
