About The Position

We’re hiring a full-time Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist at Academic Alliance in Dermatology in Tampa, FL . Responsibilities will include checking patients in and out, verifying and updating insurance and personal information, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting copays, and assisting with general office support to keep the clinic running smoothly. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Academic Alliance in Dermatology, an affiliate of Anne Arundel Dermatology, has 23 locations throughout Southwest & Central Florida. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED (required)
  • 1-3 years recent experience as a Medical Receptionist in a clinical or surgical setting (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of multi-line phone system
  • Able to operate standard office equipment ( i.e. computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc )
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience in EMR utilization
  • Fluent in English
  • Ab ility to sort and file materials correctly alphabetically or numerically
  • Ability to travel to and provide coverage for other local offices as-needed
  • Sitting, some standing, stooping and reaching
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard
  • Correctable vision to 20/20 and hearing with in a normal range for telephone contacts
  • Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds

  • Greeting patient s and completing their check-in and check-out process
  • E nter new patient information into the compute r and r eview patient charts for accuracy and verification
  • E nsure all signatures have been obtained
  • Collect pa yments as necessary
  • Greet each patient in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Screen calls, schedules appointments and referrals
  • Take accurate , concise phone messages
  • Enter complete patient demographics when making appointments
  • Evaluate chart data to verify all information has been received, completed and signed
  • Check- i n and c heck- o ut p atients
  • Track patients in the reception area and communicate with patients as needed
  • Proactively collect patient payments
  • Update product inventory weekly
  • Always treat patients with dignity and empathy
  • Fulfill inventory orders
  • As c loser – r un end of day reports & balance payment totals
  • Distribute incoming reports and correspondence in patient charts
  • Ensure all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail are addressed immediately
  • Assist other staff as needed
  • P erform other duties as assigned
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management
