RailPros is seeking a Railroad Safety Instructor to deliver high-quality training programs to our clients. This position plays a vital role in ensuring participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to meet industry safety standards, including CFR 243 compliance. As a key representative of RailPros, you’ll work directly with clients to maintain our reputation for safety, quality, and customer-focused service.

  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging virtual railroad safety training for contractors, operators, and other personnel.
  • Provide technical support to trainees during and after sessions.
  • Curriculum Support: Collaborate with senior instructors to enhance training materials.
  • Offer feedback to ensure content stays current with industry standards and participant needs.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact during training sessions, addressing client questions and concerns professionally.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure training meets RailPros’ standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate training records for compliance and reporting.
  • Collaboration & Development: Coordinate with team members to plan training schedules.
  • Participate in professional development and mentorship opportunities.
  • 2+ years of railroad industry experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • 1+ years of experience in training, public speaking, or on-the-job training (OJT).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of FRA regulations (e.g., CFR 243, GCOR) and practical safety rules in transportation, engineering, or mechanical operations.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to travel (up to 75%) and work in diverse environments.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in safety, transportation, education, or related fields.
  • Experience in railroad operations (e.g., Engineer, Conductor, Track Laborer, Inspector).
  • Certification in training or safety, such as First Aid/AED instructor credentials.
