As a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Field Interviewer at RTI International, you will play a crucial role in conducting field research by engaging with study participants in various locations. This part-time position requires you to travel frequently to designated sites to recruit individuals for studies, making in-person contact to discuss the research, answer any questions, and secure their participation. You will be responsible for collecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires, ensuring that all data is handled with the utmost care and confidentiality. In addition to participant recruitment, you will independently manage various administrative duties. This includes participating in conference calls, completing online training sessions, and transmitting data according to a set schedule. You will also be responsible for the care and use of project-issued equipment, safeguarding participant incentives, and tracking all materials related to the project. Timely submission of accurate Time & Expense reports is essential, as is maintaining regular communication with your supervisor through virtual meetings. The role requires you to administer a short screening interview and, if selected, recruit respondents for a longer main interview. You must have reliable access to a wireless internet connection at home to facilitate project work and be prepared to meet the demands of the job, including working in various weather conditions and after dark.
