The Dental Treatment Coordinator ensures a seamless and positive patient experience by bridging communications between patients, providers, and the front office.

Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); dental or healthcare administration training preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a dental office or similar healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and insurance processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating and educating patients about treatment plans.
  • Creates treatment plan in Epic
  • Reviews and explains treatment plans to patients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner
  • Discusses procedures details, sequence of care, and estimated timelines with patients
  • Ensures patients understand their treatment options and answer any related questions
  • Responsible for creating and managing financial arrangements with patients.
  • Presents financial estimates and payment options
  • Assists patients in understanding insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
  • Coordinates financial arrangements, including payment plans when applicable
  • Ensures accurate patient records, treatment plans, and scheduling in Epic.
  • Verifies insurance benefits and financial information in Epic is accurate
  • Ensures treatment plans are current and accurate
  • Schedules patient appointments according to provider recommendations and office protocols
  • Tracks and follows up on pending treatment plans to improve case acceptance
  • Supports front desk operations as needed, including patient check in/out and phone communication
  • Collaborates with the Dental Clinic Manager, clinical team, and administrative staff to maintain a consistent patient flow.
