Learn to become a Dental Assistant while you're being paid during a 12-week training period! Job Profile: Are you passionate about oral health and giving back to your community through dental care? Are you always looking for opportunities to learn and help your team? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are on a tight schedule? Are you naturally curious and ask a lot of questions? Do you reach out for help when you need it? Are you bilingual in English and Spanish? What You Get to Do: You get to learn about tooth anatomy, tooth numbers, procedures, and potential procedure complications. You will learn to build a relationship with the dentist to anticipate their needs and save time. You will learn to be one step ahead of the dentist to pass them instruments for the procedure, having checked in beforehand to see if they need additional instruments. You will work with a team of 2-3 other assistants to help each other with tasks that keep on schedule, such as help clean the rooms, sterilize instruments, load the x-ray, do notes, and set up for the next patient. You will learn how to teach patients about oral health care by showing them how to brush and floss, help them understand why it's important to follow up with cleanings and post-op care. You get to serve your community - you are here for the patients, and they are very grateful.
