Requirements

  • Practitioners must be licensed in the State of New Jersey as one of the following in good standing: Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC); Licensed Social Worker (LSW); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).
  • Preference for professionals with relevant independent licensure.
  • Minimum three years' experience working in youth and adolescent development.
  • Experience completing assessments and providing brief individualized clinical interventions to youth and families.
  • Preference for clinicians with previous training in Motivational Interviewing. Those who are not trained in Motivational Interviewing must be trained within sixty (60) days of hire or assignment to the Hub.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English both written and verbal.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license, safe driving record.
  • Vehicle with current insurance and valid registration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services both in person and through telehealth to students.
  • Conduct screenings, brief interventions, school consultations, and facilitate treatment referrals.
  • Provide case management as needed.
  • Collaborate with families, school personnel, and other providers to ensure the mental health needs of the client are being met.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with Center for Family Services policies and within agreed upon time frames.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and bi-weekly group supervision.
  • Take responsibility for professional development and meeting licensure requirements for maintaining credentials through attendance at relevant workshops and seminars.
  • Expected to work a combination of before, during and after school hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
