About The Position

The Inspire Georgia provides temporary shelter care and case management services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody. The Case Manager is responsible for providing case management and support services to facilitate the safe and timely release of minors to potential sponsors. Please Note: This is a grant funded position that will extend through March 2026 (with the expectation of renewal). Position Details: Full Time Department – Children and Family Services Reports to Inspire Georgia Lead Case Manager Located in Atlanta, GA In-Person (On site) Monday through Friday; 1:30PM – 10:00PM, Alternating Weekend $55,000

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social work fields, plus one year (1) related experience, two (2) preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in a culturally competent manner.
  • Must be sensitive to the served population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Ability to work within a team and to work independently.
  • Ability to take the initiative.
  • On-call required.
  • Must have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia Driver's license and have personal auto insurance and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial Intake Assessment and portion of the UC Assessment to ensure child feel safe and are well orientated to the facility.
  • Identify and contact family members and sponsors immediately upon child’s arrival to discuss the feasibility of reunification and to ensure the sponsor obtains and completes all applicable required documentation for reunification in a timely manner.
  • Maintain weekly contact with assigned children to assess the child’s safety and well-being; and to ensure all mandatory services are provided in accordance with the child’s Individualized Service Plan.
  • Coordinate with the Legal Team to ensure assigned children receive Know Your Rights Orientation and any additional services needed.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate child and sponsor participation and progress.
  • Coordinate and follow-up with ORR, other stakeholders and program staff to ensure all reunification requirements are met to facilitate a timely release from the program.
  • Completes Safety and Well-Being Follow Up phone calls with sponsor as per ORR guidelines.
  • Accompany/transport UAC to court appearances as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of service provision for each child in the UC Portal and internal case management database while ensuring compliance with ORR and agency documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports and statistical data when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Lead Case Manager to meet agency’s Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI)/Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.
  • Complete all initial and annual training requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet program needs.
