About The Position

The Accounting Assistant/Timekeeper will provide administrative support to the Controller. You will be working closely with colleagues to ensure that all business needs are met. You must be able to use independent judgement, be organized and proactive while working in a continuously changing and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Requires the ability to process sudden increases in work volume.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, highly organized, and attentive to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and once, solve problems, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • (3) years of Administrative/Office Experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Staffing experience or Human Resources experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in the construction, marine or industrial industry would be helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, review and update time daily and process time to payroll.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees for timekeeping questions.
  • Serve as back-up to payroll processing when needed.
  • Provide weekly temp labor subcontractor reporting.
  • Process pay corrections and verify/update job costing codes.
  • Assist with general clerical tasks including but not limited to filing and data entry.
  • Reply to Contact HR emails applicable to timekeeping and time off requests.
  • Assist in training employees on how to use the WorkforceGO application.
  • Document accurate and detailed notes regarding timekeeping and time off requests.
  • Cross train for Accounts Payable.
  • Answer and direct calls from the lobby.
  • Complete miscellaneous assignments and projects as assigned.
