About The Position

Motivate is looking for part-time Bike Mechanics to assist with all aspects of bike assembly, maintenance, and repair. Training in technical and unique aspects of bikeshare bikes will be provided. Starting schedules are 2 - 3 days per week, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and based on business need). About the role Complete bike maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on quality, productivity, and safety, working indoors at one of our bike repair depots or in the field on an assigned routeKeep detailed, accurate records of repairs using a smartphoneStock, organize, and use various repair tools, supplies, and other equipmentMaintain compliance with standard operating procedures and repair methodsFollow all safety regulations and protocols, promptly reporting safety concerns to management About you You are mechanically inclined and are comfortable completing repairs, prior experience and familiarity with bicycles or similar mechanical repairs is a plus You have a strong commitment to safe work practicesYou are willing to work interchangeably outdoors traveling on a bike throughout our network of stations and indoors in our bike repair depotsYou are dependable, willing and able to work scheduled shifts, including off hours and/or weekends as neededYou can lift and push/pull to 75 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods throughout a work shift

Requirements

  • You are mechanically inclined and are comfortable completing repairs, prior experience and familiarity with bicycles or similar mechanical repairs is a plus
  • You have a strong commitment to safe work practices
  • You are willing to work interchangeably outdoors traveling on a bike throughout our network of stations and indoors in our bike repair depots
  • You are dependable, willing and able to work scheduled shifts, including off hours and/or weekends as needed
  • You can lift and push/pull to 75 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods throughout a work shift
