About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Bike and Fish Shop Director, the Bike/Fish Technician will be responsible for maintaining all rental bikes and helmets in safe working order, cleaning bikes and helmets, renting bikes to guests, training staff on the bike rental procedure and leading other Adventure Activities as needed. Fish shop duties including renting fishing equipment, selling synthetic bait and suggesting places to fish as well as maintaining fishing rental equipment. What We Offer Qualifications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintaining rental bike fleet (Hardtail, Full Suspension and E-MTB's) Maintaining rental fishing equipment fleet. Performing general maintenance and service on guest's bikes (service training provided) Opening and closing bike/fish rental desk Become familiar with bike and fish rental forms Handle credit cards/cash and perform transactions on our point of sale system (training provided) Giving guests advice on what activities to do, what trails to ride and what points of interest to visit on property. Become familiar with trails and activities on the Snow Mountain Ranch Property. Leading Adventure Activities programs, including guided hikes, climbing wall sessions and guided bike rides when needed Attend and participate in staff meetings Know and adhere to policies and procedures set forth by YMCA of the Rockies All other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have up-to-date certifications in First Aid and CPR (Can be obtained during training) Knowledge of RMNP and surrounding areas helpful Must be comfortable working with people of all ages Must be an experienced mountain biker Must have general knowledge of mountain bike repair skills (further training will be provided) Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays GENERAL YMCA OF THE ROCKIES REQUIREMNTS: Uphold and reflect the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Faith in all functions Uphold the YMCA of the Rockies Mission, policies, and programs. Requirements
