As a Security Software Engineer, you will work on enterprise security features related to securing databases, tables, rows and columns with access primitives. You will provide encryption at rest and transit capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
• 2 years of experience with cloud security.
• 2 years of experience with software development in either Java or C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience developing/launching products/technologies within databases, analytics, big data, or a related area.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 2 years of working on big data or related cloud scale service with exposure to security related engineering.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Work on enterprise security features related to securing databases, tables, rows and columns with access primitives.
• Security horizontals across Big Query to ensure hardening against external hackers and resilience to DOS, lateral traversal and other threat vectors and provide  encryption at rest and transit capabilities.
