About The Position

As a Porter, your main responsibility is to anticipate the needs of our guests and co-workers. It is vital that when in the dining room, your appearance always be crisp and clean! You will work in the dish room where you will be responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing our dishes, glassware, and silverware to perfection. One of your more important responsibilities will be to ensure our service staff has clean dishes, glassware, and silverware. You will also bring china to the service aisle and cook's line. Keeping the service aisle and cook's line stocked with these items will ensure a smooth flow of service. It is important that the Porter has a full understanding of operational standards, policies, and procedures and can effectively demonstrate them. The Porter must follow all Southern Nevada Health Department guidelines and codes.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of restaurant experience preferred
• Must demonstrate honesty and integrity inside and outside the workplace
• Ability to obtain and maintain food handler's certification card
• Must be able to lift 45 lbs
• Excellent customer service skills - Must strive for 100% customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the dish room
• Properly clean and sanitize all dishware to SNHD standards
• Replenish dishware, flatware, and glassware to BOH and FOH as needed
• Maintains clean and dry floors throughout shift
• Providing a fantastic first impression and exceptional guest and team service
• Ensuring all food and beverage is prepared to standard before served to guests
• Responsible to meet all Health Department and maintain standards
• Assist team members if needed
• Any and all other responsibilities given within the scope of the job description
