About The Position

Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Uses appropriate safety measures
Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained
Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
Follows applicable work instructions.
Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Supply redraw coils to both the Industrial Mill and Technical Mill Blocks.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Coordinate with pointer operator to ensure optimum block output. Record drawing data as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate block at maximum efficiency. Follow all draw schedules. Make routine quality checks as required. Follow all safety procedures. Follow all quality procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Inform supervisor of all equipment repair needs.
