Your essential duties: You’ll be doing bid management, as you likely guessed, handling various types of government bids and large contracts. Work with our fantastic Purchasing and Sales teams to get pricing from vendors and suppliers. Drop some knowledge - propose specific products to our Sales Team Leads, based on the bid requirements you see. Put on your anti-reflective, blue-light-filtering computer glasses, and research bids and customers, and then organize and review the bid documents. Extra, extra, read all about the contracts and bids to make sure all rules and regulations are followed. Be a foodie, but for food knowledge – you must be willing to learn all about food and shipping industries to be more informed on bid specifications and requirements. Keep the whole team in line and on schedule – you’ll need to identify and record detailed work showing the entire bid process. Formally prepare and submit bids with all required information as requested. You’ll perform detailed job duties in a fast-paced sales office. Attention to detail is critical. You’ll learn to speak the lingo, using specific terminology with Sales, Logistics and Purchasing.
