About The Position

The Bike Mechanic at Red Barn is responsible for assembling, tuning, and adjusting a wide range of bicycles, ensuring they meet high standards for speed and quality. This full-time position focuses on precision work in a non-customer-facing environment, allowing mechanics to hone their skills while contributing to the mission of getting more people on bikes. Opportunities for growth within the company are available, including potential transitions to retail positions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience assembling a wide range of bikes—from kids' bikes to top-of-the-line mountain, road, and e-bikes.
• Bike shop or bike assembly experience.
• A self-starter mentality with a passion for teamwork and a positive attitude.
• A dedication to delivering awesome hospitality—listening, caring, and always being ready to help.
• An eye for detail and a love for finding solutions—troubleshooting or fine-tuning a bike until it's perfect.
• A hunger to keep learning, growing skills, and staying up to date on the latest technologies and service techniques.

Responsibilities

• Completing the final assembly, tuning, and adjustment of a full spectrum of bikes.
• Troubleshooting and updating e-bike systems and software.
• Stepping in wherever needed to help meet goals and deliver outstanding service.
