About The Position

Canopy is seeking a highly skilled BI Manager to lead the Business Intelligence function. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of data analytics strategies, managing a BI team, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The BI Manager will transform data into actionable insights that support the company's strategic objectives, reporting directly to the CFO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker), SQL, data warehousing solutions, and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CBIP, PMP) is preferred.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
• Oversee the planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery of BI projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Design and maintain a robust data architecture that supports efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.
• Ensure the creation of accurate, timely, and insightful reports and dashboards that inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to understand their data needs and provide tailored BI solutions.
• Implement and enforce data governance and best practices to maintain data integrity, security, and privacy.
• Identify opportunities to enhance BI processes, tools, and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a small but capable team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality analysis and insights.
