About The Position

The BI Integration Engineer Intern will support the integration, optimization, and validation of enterprise business intelligence solutions that power XiFin’s analytics ecosystem. This role focuses on connecting data sources, semantic models, reporting platforms, and downstream applications to ensure accurate, scalable, and high‑performing analytics delivery across the organization.

Working alongside BI engineers, data teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders, the intern will gain hands‑on experience with modern BI tools, cloud‑based data platforms, and enterprise data warehouses. Responsibilities may include assisting with data integration workflows, validating analytics outputs, optimizing report performance, and supporting the development of reliable, production‑ready BI pipelines.

This internship is ideal for a detail‑oriented, analytically driven student who is excited to learn how BI systems are integrated and maintained at scale within a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
• Strong SQL Skills
• Basic understanding of data modeling and relational database
• Familiarity with data visualization concept

Nice To Haves

• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) preferred
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating new and existing data sources into enterprise BI platforms.
• Support semantic model validation, data mapping, and metadata alignment.
• Help optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and query performance.
• Participate in report testing, reconciliation, and BI quality‑assurance activities.
• Validate KPI definitions and ensure consistency across dashboards and reports.
• Support embedded BI integrations with external or customer‑facing applications.
• Assist with access‑control configuration, permissions validation, and data‑security checks.
• Document integration processes, data lineage, technical specifications, and workflow updates.
