About The Position

As a BI ETL Test Engineer, you take care of the testing of BI systems. This includes validation of the business data flow, ETL components, data lineage, ETL architecture and you are able to analyze defects during data validation. This includes setting up testing strategy, recommend tools, perform technical feasibility and risk assessments. This is an onsite role to be based in Pheonix, AZ. The role involves experience in Informatica and Data mapping, and collaboration with QA Engineers (client & teams from other vendors).

Requirements

  • ETL Tester with good knowledge into Informatica PC & IICS ETL/DWH Tester
  • Strong knowledge into Informatica PC (Power Center) and IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Service) Testing
  • Good understanding and experience in informatica mappings and SSIS packages
  • Able to write complex Sql quires to test required output as per project need
  • Knowledge in Data hub for tickets handling
  • Good Experience in STLC and SDLC
  • 4+ Years of experience into ETL / DWH Testing
  • Basic Knowledge on ALM
  • Ability to analyze and understand an application/product/system quickly
  • Good in analytical skills - Logical thinking and gap analysis

Responsibilities

  • Take care of the testing of BI systems
  • Validate the business data flow, ETL components, data lineage, ETL architecture

  • Set up testing strategy
  • Recommend tools
  • Perform technical feasibility and risk assessments
  • Identify data sources and requirements
  • Define test cases and test planning for Database and project requirements
  • Exact data and Run the Test cases according to the project requirements
  • Write complex Sql quires to test required output as per project need
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers (client & teams from other vendors) to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
