About The Position

The BI Developer position focuses on leveraging data from the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to enhance the quality of patient care. This role involves defining, creating, and maintaining business intelligence solutions under minimal supervision. The developer will provide technical leadership, manage medium-sized projects, and ensure the integration of systems through effective database design and maintenance. Responsibilities include production support, system performance optimization, and working closely with end users to translate business needs into validated BI solutions. The position requires maintaining technical currency and providing comprehensive documentation for all work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in Epic Cogito and/or Business Intelligence tools.
• Epic Cogito Data Warehouse certification issued by Epic (to be obtained within 90 days).
• Epic Caboodle Data Model certification issued by Epic (to be obtained within 90 days).
• Epic Clarity Administration certification issued by Epic (to be obtained within 90 days).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in logical and physical database design.
• Experience with business intelligence and ETL tools.
• Ability to understand and develop complex queries.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of change control methodology.

Responsibilities

• Define, create, and maintain business intelligence solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to team members.
• Lead medium-sized projects through all phases of system development.
• Maintain database dictionaries and monitor standards and procedures.
• Provide production support for business intelligence solutions.
• Independently complete analysis, development, and enhancement of BI solutions.
