Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Four (4) years of business enterprise experience in back-end report automation and data visualization e.g. with programs like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Four (4) years of experience in analyzing large volumes of data, extracting insights, and processing large data sets using Power BI, SQL or other scripting language required.
  • Advanced skills in statistics/machine learning language and relational database knowledge with fluency in Power BI, Python, SQL and other applicable programming languages.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and perform standard and ad-hoc queries of business data using SQL/PowerBI/Tableau
  • Develop all companywide operating performance analysis support required by the departments and casino operations.
  • Compile and analyze daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensure financial and operational information has been recorded accurately for reporting purposes
  • Prepare recurring reports by analyzing, interpreting and summarizing financial data.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify informational needs and analyze data sets to spot trends and patterns that can be translated into actionable insights
  • Present findings in easy-to-understand ways to inform data driven decisions using visualization tools and group discussion.
  • Develop tools and processes to monitor, validate, and analyze data for accuracy.
  • Write and maintain programs to automate data collection and processing.
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings and make recommendations to executive management.
  • Communicate effectively with executive management through listening, documentation, and presentations, especially using compelling visualization tools to share analysis and make recommendations based on that interpretation of data.
  • Manage the FP&A report workspaces in collaboration with departments reporting needs and ongoing requests for improved reporting and automation
  • Provide advanced analytical and programming support to assess and monitor the performance of the property.
  • Provide mentorship and relational database training to other interested parties within the casino, as needed
  • Coordinate and support business and financial planning, including short- and long-term business forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain databases for financial, gaming, marketing, staffing and other statistical data.
  • Support the annual budget process by developing historical, current and potential future trend analysis.
  • Develop appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Assist with high-level analysis and review with management of financial summary information, analysis of operational reports and development of database and dashboard publication procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
