Banesco USA is seeking a BI Analyst for our Business Intelligence unit. The BI Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining bank reports, applications, and interfaces as well as streamline the business process. This role involves performing complete and specific programming activities, creating solutions to enhance and support the business activities, and executing the administration, maintenance, and management of the data and data storage environment. The analyst must adhere to the design and coding standards of the bank to ensure the solution and environment integrity meets business requirements. Additionally, the role includes assisting with the support of systems to ensure applications operability and reliability, structuring tasks, managing time effectively, and documenting functional requirements and solution designs. The BI Analyst will also support business units with various reports, dashboard development, and participate in projects as assigned, while coaching and mentoring other team members.

  • Create and maintain bank reports, applications, and interfaces.
  • Perform programming activities to enhance and support business activities.
  • Administer, maintain, and manage the data and data storage environment.
  • Adhere to design and coding standards to ensure solution integrity.
  • Support systems to ensure application operability and reliability.
  • Structure tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Define and create new framework reporting business packages.

  • Assist AVP, BI Team Lead in other duties and projects.
  • Coach and mentor other team members.
  • Complete annual training program.
  • Perform other functions and/or duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Four (4) years of experience in application and web development, reporting, and database administration.
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Customer service skills to ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with ETL tools like SSIS.
  • Knowledge of SQL (client and server), Oracle, AS400.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Cognos, DevExpress.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools like Qlik and Power BI.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Web Form, Microsoft Team Foundation Services, and GitHub.
  • Proficiency in development languages such as ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, PHP.
  • Experience with Jack Henry & Associates banking core systems.
  • Certifications such as MCSD: Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, CSSLP, C/C++.
