About The Position

The Direct Resident Hire-Developmental Services Program-Hourly-PCA role involves providing PCA direct care support to residents within the BHN Developmental Services programs. PCA's are responsible for assisting residents with personal care, cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, transportation, and social events. This role is available in West Springfield and Northampton. Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is a non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been serving Western Massachusetts since 1938, focusing on comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. The Developmental Services Program helps residents find private pay personal care assistants to enhance their skills and autonomy. It is important to note that this role is not directly affiliated with BHN, which acts as a liaison for the residents within the program.

Requirements

• Able to pass a state and national background check
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with a diverse population
• Consistent attention to detail in task completion
• Ability to support and empower individuals with varying abilities
