We are looking for a Qualified Professional to work with Buncombe County Sheriff office in a Co-Responder program with RHA! Seeking a Qualified Professional to serve as a Law Enforcement Crisis Counselor serving Buncombe County Sheriff's Office. This is an exciting initiative embedding a mental health professional with law enforcement, in order to co-respond to behavioral health calls and assist with de-escalation, assessment, and linkage to resources. Successful candidates must be at least a Qualified Professional and have a minimum of one year of crisis response experience. Schedule: To be determined. May include evenings, weekends and holidays. Position Requirements:: Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Professional. Bachelor's degree (in Human Services field) & 2+ years full-time experience with population served Bachelor's degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full-time experience with population served OR Master’s Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served. License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession. Other duties as assigned. Definitions: Human Service Degrees Include: Social Service, Sociology, Psychology, or other Human Service Degrees.
