About The Position

Bulfinch Temporary Service is seeking entry-level candidates for temporary environmental service positions at Massachusetts General Hospital. Requirements

• Physical ability to pull, bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
• Ability to lift over 75 lbs.
• Capability to perform repetitive motions such as dry mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, and hand scrubbing.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as buffers and auto scrubbers.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.

• Basic ability to speak and understand English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain hospital facilities in a sanitary and attractive condition.
• Complete work in assigned areas by cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing environmental surfaces according to departmental and hospital policies.
• Use various chemicals and equipment for cleaning tasks, including germicidal detergent, bleach, and vacuum cleaners.
• Clean and prepare post-discharge patient rooms according to department procedures.
• Secure dysfunctional equipment against unauthorized use and report breakdowns to the supervisor.
• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.
