About The Position

The position involves supervising the operation of all bars and lounges, ensuring that service standards are met and control procedures are maintained. The role includes assisting in the planning of departmental objectives and service standards, maintaining operating supply inventories, and coordinating the training of beverage line employees. The supervisor will act as a liaison with Labor Relations to handle union grievances, complete staff scheduling, and manage all facets of labor and payroll administration. Additionally, the supervisor will initiate methods to improve operational efficiency and department revenue, ensure compliance with health regulations, and promote positive public relations.

Requirements

  • College degree (may substitute additional experience for degree).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of appropriate experience including prior supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong managerial skills and knowledge of food service sanitation.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience required in a multi-unit, high volume bar environment.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with high energy level.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Extremely proficient in team building and employee relations skills.
  • Proven skills in beverage sales, marketing and bar promotions.
  • PC knowledge: Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises operation of all bars/lounges.

  • Coordinates training of all beverage line employees, excluding cocktail servers.
  • Acts as a liaison with Labor Relations in handling union grievances.
  • Completes staff scheduling and all facets of labor/payroll administration.
  • Initiates methods/procedures to improve operational efficiency and department revenue.
  • Ensures compliance with Board of Health and CCC regulations.
  • Promotes positive public relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
