About The Position

Position Overview: The Beverage Server is responsible for the ability to provide prompt, friendly, professional and courteous service of food and beverages to our guests on the gaming floor. Essential Functions: Provides excellent guest service to all guests. Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to restaurant customers in accordance with venue standards Monitors customer needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled. Maintains a sanitary environment per sanitation guidelines. Uses a POS system to ring in orders, print checks, and cash out guests. Deals with complaints and issues in a professional, patient manner. Makes recommendations and maintains knowledge of all the menu items. Takes food and beverage orders from guests. Performs other tasks as assigned. Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
  • ABC license
  • Must have a NYS Food Handlers Permit
  • Must obtain a Tips Certification.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • The Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The Team Member is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifteen (15) pounds, and prolonged standing during the shift.
  • Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
  • Team Members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or G.E.D preferred
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
