About The Position

The position involves taking drink orders, communicating with the bartender, assisting in drink preparation, and presenting drinks to guests. The role requires handling money according to departmental procedures and providing personalized service while using guests' names. The employee must resolve service problems according to Service Recovery guidelines and serve as an ambassador of goodwill during customer and public relations functions, including appearing in publicity photos. Additionally, the employee actively promotes casino events and programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous food and beverage service experience, preferably in the casino industry or upscale setting.
  • Must possess vast knowledge of food and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work successfully with little to no supervision.
  • Must be able to initiate conversation in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner.
  • Must present a professional appearance that guests will find approachable.
  • Must have basic math skills to properly charge and credit various items.
  • Must know or have the ability to learn all casino and hotel services and facilities, special events, player events, and local attractions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
