COLUMBUS BEVERAGE MERCHANDISER
About The Position
Columbus Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers in Franklin County. Deliver, assemble, and refill product displays (beer) in accounts (grocery, gas stations, bars, etc.) Build relationships with accounts, listen to needs, and follow up. Place and ensure appropriate signage on displays, cooler doors, etc. Rotate products in sales areas and backstock to eliminate outdated products. Breakdown bulk driver deliveries to purposefully manage backroom account inventory. Attend sales meetings and seminars to take advantage of incremental selling opportunities. Move products with a two-wheeled hand cart and keep the work area clean and safe.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record and maintain auto insurance coverage of at least the minimum required by state law and company guidance.
- High school Diploma or GED.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must have a cell phone with data capability (reimbursement allowance provided).
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays in order to accommodate business needs.
- Able to lift 30 lbs. from overhead to floor and lift kegs (up to 170 lbs.)
Nice To Haves
- Previous beverage industry sales experience is preferred but not required.
