About The Position

To rotate, price, restock, merchandise and build displays in assigned accounts. Establish positive relationships with all assigned retailers as a “partner/consultant.”

Responsibilities

  • Merchandise all assigned accounts in a timely, thorough and professional manner including coolers, displays, hot shelves and singles bins.
  • Make sure requisite pricing is reflected and all labels are faced.
  • Do not leave the account until all required tasks are completed to Company standard.
  • Maintain back stock in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Work closely with Sales Personnel to ensure proper rotation of all products sold, including, but not limited to, cooler shelves, hot shelves, displays, singles bins and back stock.
  • Work breakage in a timely and efficient manner to ensure they do not accumulate.
  • Build effective, striking displays in the primary position on all retail ad features and promotional packages with appropriate point of sale.
  • Look for opportunities to maintain bigger, better and more displays than competition.
  • Safely handle all empties, pallets and unsold product to prevent damage.
  • Return all empty pallets to the warehouse by employing proper accounting procedures.
  • Merchandise and rotate all points of distribution to achieve, and maintain, out-of-stock levels at zero.
  • Develop working relationship with decision maker in all assigned accounts.
  • Offer suggestions for increasing sales of all products in Company portfolio through merchandising concepts such as displays, point of sale, new items, etc.
  • Communicate daily with other members of sales team (including Drivers) to ensure coordination of merchandising activity in assigned accounts.
  • Inform Merchandising Manager immediately of any competitive activity in the market that could impact sales, distribution, space, pricing, etc.
  • Inform the appropriate Sales Personnel of any out-of-stock or potential out-of-stock issues.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with the owners, managers and employees of all assigned accounts.
  • Have a positive attitude and demonstrate a sincere interest in the business success of each account.
  • Daily activities must be accounted for through the use of merchandising pads, notes and the time clock.
  • Ensure that all reports required by this job function are maintained and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Report immediately to your supervisor any scheduled merchandising stops to a retail account that will not be made.
  • After completing all scheduled merchandising stops, contact the Merchandising Manager for additional assignments.
  • Take proper care to maintain a clean, organized Company vehicle inside and out. This includes following all maintenance and service instructions and promptly reporting any problems/damage to the vehicle.
  • Work within established scheduled time parameters.
  • Be consistently available to perform assigned job functions.
  • Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1 Iowa, LLC Employee Handbook.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
