About The Position

The Juice Bar section of the New Morning Cafe serves all organic juices, smoothies, wheatgrass, specialty coffee and tea. While past experience is helpful, we are also looking for the right fit -- we want candidates that are passionate about coffee, whole food smoothies and juices, the natural food industry, and about sharing their passion with others. Provide a strategic and compelling mix of beverage options, taking advantage of seasonal offerings. Prepare smoothies, juices, wheatgrass, kombucha, espresso beverages, and coffee to order. Follow recipes and assignments for production as directed and with accuracy (making drinks to within 1oz of their specifications). Determine number and type of beverages to be featured in the Grab & Go daily, with a focus on maximizing sales and profitability. Create recipes and write seasonal menus. Mains a high level of product quality by adhering to all New Morning recipes and drink quality standards Achieve daily sales goals and oversee cash register operation. Create staff schedules based on customer visitation reports. Direct staff and set work priorities.

Requirements

  • Ability to set and implement policy and procedures to maintain accuracy and accountability within the department.
  • Skilled in preparing smoothies, juices, coffees and espresso beverages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; focused customer service orientation; ability to build relationships and effectively lead a team.
