About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Beverage Attendant to join our resort team. The ideal candidate will perform the duties of a bartender, including preparing and serving beverages, while also managing monthly inventory tasks to ensure efficient operation of the bar. Key responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • 2 years of proven experience as a bartender or beverage attendant in a resort, hotel, or similar setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for handling payment transactions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry heavy items, such as trays of drinks.
  • Flexible availability; on-call.

Nice To Haves

  • Up to date certifications in TIPS and a Food Handlers permit is a plus.
  • Previous experience with inventory management
  • Relevant training or certification in bartending

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Serve Beverages: Mix and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guests' requests and resort standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guests' preferences.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the bar menu, including seasonal specials and signature cocktails.
  • Compliance: Verify the identification and age of customers to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Monthly Inventory: Conduct monthly inventory checks to track stock levels, identify shortages, and report discrepancies.
  • Cleanliness: Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Payment Handling: Process payments, manage receipts, and balance the register at the end of each shift.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure efficient service and a positive guest experience.
  • Entertainment: Engage with guests at the bar, providing a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
  • Food Safety and Health Compliance: Adhere to food safety and health department regulations, including proper sanitation practices, regular hand washing, and maintaining cleanliness in food and beverage preparation areas
