About The Position
The Best Buy Teen Tech Center "BBTTC," established with the support of The Clubhouse Network, offers young people (ages 10 to 18) from inner-city neighborhoods the opportunity to work on projects they find meaningful to their lives, using computers and technology. The program provides support and resources for young people to pursue their interests and build upon their talents. In the Teen Tech Center, youth can design their own music, art, newsletters, robots, science simulations, computer games, and animation. The BBTTC Program Assistant will be responsible for providing general BBTTC activities and instruction on songwriting and music production, including various creative tools and software. Assist in developing and implementing workshops and programs that enhance participants' technical and creative skills. Duties include assisting with managing and facilitating the recording studio, collaboration with STEM Studios, and implementation of music recording and production workshops and events.
