About The Position

The YL Staff Associate I position is designed to provide both formal training and direct field ministry experience to effectively carry out and manage Young Life ministry. The role encompasses various ministry functions including spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry, and ministry support. The staff associate will engage in spiritual disciplines, lead teams, raise financial support, and actively participate in the Young Life community. The position requires adherence to Young Life's policies and a commitment to its Christian mission.

Requirements

• Experience in direct ministry.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team.
• Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
• Raise financial support and maintain good donor care practices.
• Communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners.
• Plan and execute area fundraising events.
• Engage in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camp.
• Manage finances with stewardship, accountability, and transparency.
• Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors.
• Set yearly strategic ministry plans and initiatives.
