The loss of a child is a difficult struggle, finding support and resources during grief shouldn’t be. The Bereavement Program at ABC of Southwest Texas provides essential resources for families experiencing the loss of a child. This team will ensure each family receives an urn or casket, 8 grief counseling sessions, a handmade grief bag, monthly support groups, annual butterfly memorial, and more. The Bereavement Intern works closely with this team to support the wide -reaching mission through administrative tasks, event planning, and intake care. We are looking for… We are seeking a high school senior or undergraduate student with an interest in Public Relations, Non -Profit Management, Communications, Event Planning, Psychology, Counseling, or other similar fields. This intern will support accurate reporting through data entry and administrative tasks, provide families with empathy as intake support, and encourage healing by participating in the planning of events.
