About The Position

Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Benign/Classical Hematologist for a non-malignant hematology clinic located in Winston-Salem, NC. This position is part of an Integrated Network Cancer Program, which is affiliated with the malignant hematology program. The clinic benefits from a significant referral base from primary care physicians and other specialists within the Novant Health network. This is primarily a clinical position, but there are opportunities for clinical research if desired. Currently, the program has one physician provider and one advanced practice provider (APP), with excellent support from the pathology department, blood bank, radiology, intensive care, and other specialist services. Novant Health has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years, particularly in the Cancer Institute, ensuring continued growth and expansion of services including benign and malignant hematology, stem cell transplant, cellular therapy, and integrative medicine for patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology.
• Interest or experience in the care and management of patients with hemophilia, sickle cell disease, and other bleeding disorders.
• Open to new graduates or experienced candidates.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for a patient population aged 18 and older.
