About The Position

My client, a reputable healthcare company in Alpharetta, GA, is hiring for a hybrid Benefits Verification Specialist! The Benefits Verification Specialist will support the billing and benefits operations team by ensuring accurate benefit information and providing general administrative support.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in benefits verification, medical billing, or healthcare administration
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle time‑sensitive tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Availability to start immediately

Responsibilities

  • Verifying patient insurance benefits with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Answering inbound phone calls and assisting with basic inquiries
  • Supporting general administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Running and reviewing reports to ensure upcoming billing is accurate prior to month-end
  • Conducting basic claims research to resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborating with the internal team to ensure a smooth and timely billing cycle
