About The Position

Job Summary: The Benefits Manager is responsible for owning the execution and operational excellence of employee benefit programs across the United States and Canada. This role ensures benefit programs are compliant, cost-effective, well-governed, and aligned with business and workforce needs across a multi-site Building Technologies organization.

Requirements

  • 5 years of benefits administration experience.
  • Strong compliance, vendor management, and stakeholder leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations.
  • Experience managing vendor and benefit programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree, CEBS, CBP, or similar certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits with U.S. and Canadian scope.
  • Lead vendor strategy, RFPs, contract negotiations, and ongoing performance management for benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of U.S. and Canada benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement.
  • Oversee the annual open enrollment process, benefits training, and employee communication.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and Canadian regulations, including state and local laws, ERISA, ACA, and provincial employment standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships with carriers, administrators, brokers, etc.
  • Establish and monitor service-level agreements, case quality metrics, compliance controls, and employee experience outcomes.
  • Manage benefits-related budgets, forecasting, and cost-containment initiatives.
  • Resolve employee escalation and complex benefit issues.
  • Implement program changes and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain plan documentation and policies, including overseeing employee and manager communications related to benefits.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for HRBPs, Payroll, Legal, and Business Leaders to support workforce continuity.
