About The Position

The purpose of this position is to support the benefits departments transaction processing by scanning barcoded documents. This includes prepping and scanning barcoded documents through the ViewStar Online Document Management system and reviewing and verifying scanned documents. The position supports our historical records scanning, offsite records retention and logging of completed tasks.

Requirements

  • knowledge of the Publix benefit plans, including but not limited to, understanding administrative policies, procedures and turnaround deadlines for transaction processing for the group benefits, retirement and stockholder services departments
  • knowledge of the scanner and scan manager, ViewStar
  • knowledge of department equipment (shredder, fax machine, time stamp, copier, envelope folder)
  • basic skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge of ViewStar, SAP, READ and Retirement HOST systems and Scanner and Scan Manage

Responsibilities

  • prepping, scanning and verifying all daily incoming Benefits’ mail, returned mail and historical records into the ViewStar Online Document Management System
  • processing and verifying returned mail
  • assisting the Benefits Mail Services Team Leads with managing Benefits documents in offsite and local storage for records retention purposes
