Starting pay- $18.60 an hour. Assist FCS clients with applying, navigating, and understanding insurance benefits. Serve as the agency’s insurance expert and liaison between clients and staff to maximize reimbursement. This is a client-facing position, not an internal HR or employee benefits role. As a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist, this position combines strong computer skills with client interaction to help individuals navigate Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance options while ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Verify client insurance information and make applicable updates in the EHR. Determine client eligibility for Medicaid, Medicare, or other applicable insurance. Assist with Medicaid enrollment and re-enrollment. Ensure applications are completed correctly with required supporting materials. Provide unbiased Medicaid insurance information to current and prospective clients regarding the Medicaid Contracted Entity benefits plans aka "SoonerSelect" benefits plans. Handle questions, issues, and provide detailed information on Oklahoma Medicaid eligibility, rules, benefits, and requirements for enrollment or re-enrollment. Documenting client paperwork into the FCS database. Provide outreach to clients to assist with education and comprehension of Medicaid enrollment, re-enrollment, and coverage. Utilize reports to target and assist with updating client insurance information.
