The Benefits Analyst at Rush University Medical Center plays a crucial role in the development, design, implementation, and administration of various health and welfare, retirement, and leave benefits programs. This position is integral to ensuring that the benefits department operates smoothly and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. The Benefits Analyst will provide day-to-day support to the Benefits team, collaborating with other members to ensure accurate plan administration and adherence to Rush's policies and procedures. In this position, the Benefits Analyst will be responsible for supporting the administration of benefits programs, including managing open enrollment processes and employee leaves. The analyst will assist in developing, organizing, and tracking workflows and processes for the Benefits team, ensuring that all operations are efficient and effective. Additionally, the role involves providing standard and ad hoc reports related to benefits and leave of absence for audits and other needs, conducting data integrity audits to maintain accurate employee and benefit plan data, and supporting the Employee Service Center and HR partners with general benefits-related inquiries. The Benefits Analyst will also respond to escalated leave of absence cases, create and update communications and documents related to leave of absence, and educate employees, HR personnel, and managers on benefits processes. This includes working closely with external vendors and payroll to ensure accurate time tracking and pay reporting. The analyst will assist with vendor billing reconciliation and payment, and may take on additional duties and projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Benefits department.
