The position of Benefits Analyst (Workers Compensation) involves assisting with the design, implementation, and administration of benefit programs, including health & welfare benefit plans, 401(k) plan, and other employee services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of human resources experience in a generalist or benefits background

Nice To Haves

  • Benefits or human resources certification and affiliations (CEBS, PHR, etc.)
  • Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work
  • Demonstrated excellence thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including health & welfare benefit plans, 401(k) plan, and other employee services
  • Support annual benefits open enrollment planning and execution. Help develop effective communication strategy to educate and reach diverse employee population
  • Advise and counsel employees and dependents on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions)
  • Partner with finance, payroll, HRIS, legal, and vendors to effectively and efficiently perform all aspects of benefit program management, including ensuring accuracy of benefit deductions and streamlining current processes and procedures to ensure proper data flow to relevant parties
  • Assist with provider premium billing statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Keep abreast of policies, legislative changes, and legal requirements, such as ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act to assist with plan compliance efforts
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to company wellness initiatives and employee services, and commuter program support
