About The Position

At Cosentino ( www.cosentino.com ) we are looking for a Benefits Administrator to join our Corporate office located in Coral Gables, FL, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of. Our People Department is looking for a benefits administrator who will be responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs. This position provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. The administrator will partner with our brokers to continually investigate new benefits programs, improve existing programs, and supervise and monitor benefits administration.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Benefits Administration
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits compliance and operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication Skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and diligence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain and administer confidential and sensitive information appropriately required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a major/area of study Human Resources, Training, or related fields

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value.
  • Design, recommend and implement new benefits programs.
  • Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes.
  • Negotiate with vendors and administrators for best plans, options, and rates.
  • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Responsible for managing benefit compliance and certain benefits claims: Accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
  • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
  • Audit the accuracy and performance of functions performed by benefit operations peer.
  • Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the company's stance.
  • Perform plan audits: Prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments.
  • Review data in conjunction with actuarial evaluation task forces.
  • Review both short- and long-range cost estimates/projections and relevant statistical analyses regarding modifications in benefits programs and implementation of new programs.
  • Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding.
  • Prepare budgetary recommendations and assist in the monitoring, verifying, and reconciling of budgeted funds.
  • Works with broker to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process including working with carriers, TPAs, and PL/PR, and developing communication materials and processes, with regards to the administration of the group medical, vision, dental, life, std, ltd, hsa/fsa, 401k plan and voluntary benefits.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
  • Manages the medical and dependent FSA and any other audits necessary to be compliant, including submission of non-discrimination testing.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
  • Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates and the field staff.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining all wellness programs and initiatives.
