Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two (2) years of related experience in healthcare administration, medical coding and billing, customer service, or direct benefits verification support.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
  • Associate's degree and 4 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a functional team.
  • Previous experience in clinical patient enrollment or quality assurance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using office software and productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Medical experience is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle industry leading transformation of patient support offerings.
  • Engage directly with health care professionals to establish options for financial assistance/reimbursement.
  • Navigate complex benefits programs and payer landscape across the United States.
  • Take calls and outreach from health care professionals and enter data into supporting systems.
  • Initiate benefits verification by reviewing patient data and insurance material.
  • Verify benefits for each assigned patient case and detail requirements for reimbursement.
  • Initiate subsequent actions such as prior authorizations and appeals.
  • Monitor potential delays or pended cases and document lessons learned.
  • Support new initiatives and process improvement activities.
  • Understand and adhere to government regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain positive rapport with internal and external customers.
