Assists others in the department as needed. Assists new and current employees during benefit meetings, open enrollment, and questions. Complies, send, organizes, changes and maintains job description spreadsheet, job descriptions and reviews Assist others in the department when needed. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with set up and organizing of Hy-Vee functions as needed. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions; several concrete variables. Must possess the ability to do mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages. Able to make appointments and process mail; write form letters or routine correspondence; interpret written work instructions, and have increased contact with people. Education and Experience: High School or equivalent experience. Basic computer knowledge helpful. One to three years of similar or related work experience. Supervisory Responsibility (Direct Reports): None. Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more with or without correction. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Pulling, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Working Conditions: The duties of this position are performed in an office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a day. Equipment Used to Perform Job: WMS system, PC with word processing and spreadsheet software, 10-key calculator, telephone switchboard, fax, copier and mainframe. Financial Responsibility: None. Contacts: Has daily contact with customers, general public, community or trade/professional organizations, federal/state governmental and or regulatory agencies.
