Requirements

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 1-6 months on the job training.
• Forklift and crane certification.
• Able to use/read a tape measure; use general construction tools, such as saws, grinder, torch, drills.
• Basic knowledge of fabrication.

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Good mechanical skills and math skills, including decimals and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Bending, flattening, welding, cutting, shearing, straightening, grinding, sanding, fitting, inspecting steel, stainless steel, and aluminum extrusions for hatches, frames, doors, and windows.
• Maintains bender equipment, template library, and die database.
• Offloads weekly deliveries of material.
• Designs dies for new extrusions using mathematical formula(s) from drawings and existing extrusions.
• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable record.
