About The Position

The Service Technician at BENCO Equipment is responsible for the installation, diagnosis and repair of shop equipment while delivering top notch service to the customer.

Requirements

High school diploma or (GED) equivalent; Associates Degree or Technical school certificate a plus
Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems. Basic computer skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and components in the field
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to understand the customer's expectations and work to exceed them
Ability to work in the field without supervision
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment
Willingness and ability to comply with company safety requirements and maintain safe working habits
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed

Responsibilities

Install, diagnose and repair shop equipment: 2 and 4 post hoists, tire changers, wheel balancers, industrial air compressors, pressure washers, waste oil heaters, air line systems, lube systems, exhaust systems, and other shop type equipment
Follow logical steps to troubleshoot the cause of problems with equipment
Run equipment tests and make adjustments as required
Prepare equipment for delivery by inspecting and operating machines prior to delivery as able
Keep up to date and continuing education on new technologies as required
Accurately report service work performed in a timely manner
Present yourself in a professional manner at all times
