About The Position

Boulder Mills offers fine fixtures and custom cabinetry work for residential and commercial projects. The Benchman Apprentice role within Boulder Mills is driven and managed by a true quality metric. You will be exposed to multiple areas within the company and develop a diverse skill set that will facilitate quality on-time delivery to your internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in custom cabinetry and woodworking
  • Drawing reading skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Dependable
  • Work well with others
  • Problem-solving
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including wearing safety glasses and air filtration masks and suits where required.
  • Passing a drug screen and background check is required for employment.

Responsibilities

  • Specific functions as directed by the supervisor to facilitate training and effective output.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions of specialty projects
  • Maintain a safe and quality-based effort for any products that are processed.
  • Sanding and woodworking
  • Clean up work area each day in accordance with plant safety and house cleaning standards.
  • Process work in a timely, quality-focused manner.
  • Assembly of cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers.
  • Load cabinets and parts into a truck in a safe manner ensuring the load is well protected and secure for travel.
  • Understanding the scope of contents of a load to know if they are missing anything.
  • Locate missing parts needed to complete the shipment.
  • Primarily support Boulder Mills production operations while serving as a shared manufacturing resource across affiliated operations, providing support to Tharp Cabinets based on workload, scheduling, and operational priorities.
