About The Position

Position Purpose To provide benching support for machining processes in accordance with Erickson requirements and Customer requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• One-year hands-on working experience with hand tools such as handheld rotary tools, sanding bocks, inline sanders, templates, and all required safety equipment.
• Basic knowledge in using measuring equipment, such as a tape measure, ruler, protractor, caliper, etc.
• Basic knowledge of reading drawings/blueprints.
• Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft Office products.
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Deburr, grind, file, sand, blend, and polish products to design requirements.
• Use basic shop mathematics to complete work assignments using measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, surface roughness gages, and others.
• Assist in sawing, cleaning, machine setup, loading and unloading, and assembly of aircraft products.
• Follow manufacturing order instructions and verify work is performed as needed to meet process requirements.
• Read and understand drawings and technical specifications for products.
• Document all work per company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Occasional use of a variety of solvent products to perform required tasks.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
• Comply with company policies and procedures while performing all work.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and general organization of work areas, machines, and equipment. Maintaining lubrication and coolant levels as related to basic preventive maintenance duties.
• Routinely transport raw material and products within the immediate manufacturing work area, using shop assigned equipment (I.e., cart, pallet jack, forklift, over-head crane), as required for the next operation.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
