Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Bench Hand to join our team on afternoons. The Bench Hand will work within a team environment and be responsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes supporting the production of components for gas turbine engines. Additionally, the Bench Hand will: Set up, operate, or tend heating equipment, such as heat-treating furnaces, or vacuum equipment to temper, harden, anneal, or heat treat metal. Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as band saws, bridgeports, lathes, tube benders. Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements Use a variety of hand tools, such as, shears, grinders, drills, saws, tube bending and flaring equipment, and other items to be used in assembly Maintains proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained Strives to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput Performs routine TPM`s of machines and equipment operated Adheres to safety rules, manufacturing / quality procedures and company policies. Maintaining a clean and organized 6s work area
